April 22,2016 – This week , the Road Traffic Safety Agency has oragnized a number of traffic-educational lessons “Pazljivko”, in the territory of the city Municipality of Surcin, working on the prevention of road casualties of all road users through socializing with children. About 700 of first and second-grade pupils and 430 preschoolers from Jakovo, Boljevac, Dobanovci, Becmen and Surcin.
The pupils and preschoolers of the elementary schools “Vozd Karadjordje”, “Branko Radicevic”, “Stevan Sremac”, “Dusan Vukasovic Diogen”, “Vuk Karadzic” and “22. Oktobar” and preschoolers of the kindergarden “Lastavica”, “Bambi”and “Duga” enjoyed with simile on their faces, and learned through play the basic traffic rules.
On Saturday April 16, 2016, the Road Traffic Safety Agency has participated in the event “Development of students’ culture in safe school”, organized by the Foundation “Safe school” from Novi Sad.
April 14, 2016 – the Road Traffic Safety Agency in cooperation with the Union of Paraplegics and Quadriplegics of Serbia organized a lecture for the young at the Ninth Belgrade Gymnasium, about road safety, within the campaign “I still drive”.
The lecture was opened by the Minister of Interior Nebojsa Stefanovic, who drew the young people’s attention to the importance of seatbelt usage, whether driver or passenger. He explained the significance of following the regulations on speed limit and advised the students to behave in traffic in way that would make them safe in order to protect their and other people’s lives.
April 6th, 2016 – the Road Traffic Safety Agency in cooperation with the Union of Paraplegics and Quadriplegics of Serbia, has organized a lecture for high school students of the Railway Technical School within the campaign “I still drive”.
On Monday, April 4th, the Road Traffic Safety Agency has held the 200th seminar of knowledge improvement for divers with the revoked driving license, since the rehabilitation process has been established in Serbia for the first time four years ago.
The seminars have been conducted in 15 cities around Serbia, the most of them in Belgrade, Nis, Novi Sad and Valjevo.
In order to improve safety of children in traffic, the Road Traffic Safety Agency and the Secretariat of Education and Child Protection of Belgrade City have continued with activities aimed at the youngest, an interactive class about traffic education “Pazljivko”.
March 30, 2016 – Within the campaign “I still drive, but I don’t walk” the Road Traffic Safety Agency organized a lecture at the First Belgrade Gymnasium. On that occasion, representatives of the City of Belgrade, City Council member Dragan Petronijevic, and secretary assistant at the Secretariat of education and child protection, Elena Bilic addressed to the present, along with the introductory word of the Gymnasium’s headmaster.
The Road Traffic Safety Agency and the City of Belgrade within the mutual activities, conduct lectures for the young about traffic safety. Namely, the young are а particularly risky category of road users, and a lecture like this had been organized last year as well in the territory of Belgrade, which has contributed to reduction of young casualties in traffic.
At the lecture organized at the Agriculture school in Belgrade. Along with the representatives of the Road Traffic Safety Agency, Lidija Stanojevic and Dusko Pesic, Slavisa Savic also shared his personal story about staying disabled and in wheelchair at the age of 17 as a consequence of a road accident. The pupils had a chance to hear about casualties of young people in road accidents and how to recognize risks in traffic.
The Road Traffic Safety Agency continues the campaign “Pazljivko”, that has been underway for the sixth year in a row, aimed at improving safety of children in traffic.
The traffic educational class, in cooperation with the Secretariat for education and child protection of the City of Belgrade, has been organized at elementary schools “Jovan Miodragovic” in Vracar, “Vladislav Petkovic Dis” in Zvezdara and “Vojvoda Misic” in Savski Venac.
In the period between March 21 and 25, 2016, the Road Traffic Safety Agency has organized an action at the Basic Police Training Center in Sremska Kamenica.
The aim of this action was to introduce the function and importance of seatbelt use to the future police officers in a practical way, and to improve their attitudes about the importance of its use.
